The Winter-2025 Exercise held in Kars showcased the advancements Turkey has made in its defense industry. One of the most striking indigenous and national defense technologies exhibited during the exercise was the E-ARAZİ, a fully electric military off-road vehicle developed under Anzatsan’s E-Modernization project.
E-ARAZI Features
Developed in collaboration with the Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE), this vehicle stands out with its high mobility, low acoustic signature, and thermal stealth. Being electric, it operates silently, making it harder for enemy forces to detect. Instead of a traditional internal combustion engine, it is powered entirely by electric motors and battery packs.

During the exercise, Muhammed Furkan Dalkılınç, an engineer from MKE, provided insights into the transformation process and technical specifications of the E-ARAZI.
As part of the project, recycled Land Rover 110 models were stripped of their internal combustion engines and fitted with electric motors on both the front and rear axles. The vehicle is powered by a total of 107.5 kWh battery packs, strategically placed at the front and rear to ensure balanced weight distribution.
Thanks to its electric motors, the vehicle has a range of 400 km and can reach a maximum speed of 150 km/h.
The system generates 335 horsepower and can reach an energy output of up to 246 kWh. The vehicle operates at a nominal 252V voltage and supports both AC and DC charging, allowing it to recharge at various charging stations.

A 360-degree camera system provides the driver with an extensive field of view, offering a significant advantage in off-road mobility.
Technical Dimensions and Performance
- Length: 5.1 meters
- Width: 2 meters
- Height: 2 meters
- Combat Weight: 4,600 kg
- Payload Capacity: 1,250 kg
- Personnel Capacity: 4
The E-ARAZİ remains operational in temperatures ranging from -32°C to +49°C. Key military mobility features include all-wheel drive (4×4), an independent suspension system, and a power-to-weight ratio of 73 HP/ton.
The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in just 8 seconds, can climb 45% inclines, traverse 30% side slopes, and has a tight turning radius of 5.4 meters, allowing for maneuverability in confined spaces.
E-ARAZI is equipped with modern military systems, including:
- GPS and Inertial Navigation System (INS) for positioning
- Electrically adjustable seats for a comfortable driving experience
- Heating and cooling systems to maintain operational efficiency in extreme temperatures
- Low acoustic signature, making it harder to detect via sound
- Low thermal signature, reducing visibility to infrared detection systems
- Surround-view cameras for enhanced situational awareness
- Vehicle data display, showing battery status, motor performance, and range in real time
The increased adoption of hybrid and fully electric military vehicles indicates Turkey’s growing expertise in developing eco-friendly and cost-effective defense solutions. While the E-ARAZİ successfully underwent field testing at the Winter-2025 Exercise, it remains to be seen whether it will be actively deployed in future military operations.
