MediaTek will launch the Dimensity 9500 chipset later this year. The new chip will feature significant improvements in performance and efficiency.
MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Revealed
The MediaTek Dimensity 9500 will deliver a significant boost in graphics processor (GPU) performance. Efficiency is expected to increase by more than 40 percent compared to the previous generation. Peak performance will also increase, and ray tracing capabilities will experience a 40 percent boost.
Phones using this processor will be able to push ray tracing graphics at over 100 frames per second. MediaTek will fully utilize the potential of Arm’s latest Drage GPU architecture in the chipset.
The chipset will be equipped with an all-big-core CPU configuration. This configuration will include one Cortex-X930 ultra core, three Cortex-X9 series cores, and four A7 series cores. This configuration will be supported by 16MB of L3 cache and 10MB of system-level cache.
The hardware will be manufactured using TSMC’s third-generation 3nm N3P fabrication process and will feature updated artificial intelligence (AI) processing. Furthermore, single-core performance is expected to exceed 3,900 points and multi-core performance is expected to exceed 11,000 points in Geekbench 6 tests. These scores represent increases of up to 34.5% and 19.6%, respectively, compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 9400.
The Dimensity 9500 chipset will be introduced in September. The Vivo X300 series will be the first to use this processor. The OPPO Find X9 series will launch with this new hardware shortly thereafter.
