Techland is preparing to breathe new life into Dying Light 2 with the long-awaited Firearms Update and accompanying Reloaded Edition, which will be released on February 22nd. The update introduces firearms for the first time since the game’s release two years ago.
Dying Light 2 finally gets the firearms update
Reloaded Edition is designed to enhance the game experience and attract new players. It includes all previous updates, including the Bloody Ties DLC, and offers a comprehensive content package, which will also be available for free to Standard owners.
The Firearms Update brings a few changes, most notably the inclusion of guns as a new gameplay mechanic. Firearms added a whole new layer of gameplay to the first game. Techland assures fans that firearms are beautifully integrated into the gameplay of Dying Light 2. According to Techland, the weapons are more of a sidekick than the main combat element, offering new possibilities while maintaining the core gameplay.
In addition to firearms, the update introduces co-op survival missions, board missions and various visual enhancements to further enrich the gameplay experience. In terms of story, some familiar characters from the original Dying Light game may return.
To celebrate its release, Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition will be available as a free weekend trial on PC via Steam from February 22-26.
Techland has continued to provide post-release support for Dying Light 2 since its release in February 2022, fulfilling a five-year update promise. The Firearms Update will be one of the most significant updates to date.
Despite some initial bugs and challenges, Dying Light 2 has been praised for its immersive gameplay and expansive open world. What do you think about the game? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
