Dyson is introducing the HushJet Purifier Compact, a small air purifier that looks like a jet engine but runs quietly enough to use while you sleep. Launching in the US on September 30th for $349.99, the purifier is built to push air faster and farther while keeping noise to a whisper.
Dyson’s HushJet Purifier Compact: Jet-inspired nozzle design

At the center of the HushJet Purifier Compact is a star-shaped nozzle. Dyson says this increases airflow velocity for stronger purification, while also dampening compressor noise. The purifier runs as low as 24 dBA in night mode, which is about the sound of a whisper. That makes it better suited for bedrooms and other quiet spaces.
Long-lasting HEPA filtration
Dyson equipped the HushJet Purifier Compact with a new Electrostatic HEPA filter that captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. This includes pollen, pet dander, and dust. The filter lasts up to five years, five times longer than Dyson’s older HEPA units, and its fully sealed design prevents particles from leaking back out.
Smart features and size
The purifier weighs seven pounds and measures 17.7 x 9 x 9 inches, making it fit for rooms up to 203 square feet. It uses built-in sensors to monitor air quality in real time and automatically adjust performance. Owners can also schedule cleanings or connect it to Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control.
Dyson’s other new release
Alongside the purifier, Dyson also announced the V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum. It uses a dual conical cleaner head that adapts to different floors, speeding up on carpets and slowing down on delicate surfaces. Dyson claims it even prevents long hair from tangling around the brush, pulling it straight into the bin instead.
A quiet push for cleaner air
With faster airflow, quiet performance, and a long-lasting filter, the HushJet Purifier Compact is Dyson’s latest attempt to blend power with design. Whether it lives up to its jet-engine inspiration will depend on how well it cleans and how quietly it keeps doing so.
