Dyson unveiled Dyson OnTrac, a new headset that revolutionizes audio engineering. With its advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, 55-hour battery life and customizable design, Dyson OnTrac promises to offer its users a unique listening experience. Let’s take a look at its features in full.
Dyson OnTrac delivers superior sound quality with advanced active noise cancellation (ANC)
Dyson OnTrac is equipped with a special ANC algorithm with 8 microphones. Thanks to this technology, external sound is captured 384,000 times per second, blocking unwanted noise up to 40 decibels. Integrated with the MyDyson app, the system monitors and reports external noise in real time.
With a wide sound range from 6 Hz to 21 kHz, the headphones clearly deliver every note from deep sub-bass to high-frequency highs. Thanks to the 40 mm, 16 ohm neodymium speaker drivers and advanced audio signal processing technology, you can hear every detail of the sound, making it the perfect choice for audiophiles. Plus, the 13-degree tilt of the speaker housing towards the ear provides a more direct sound response.
Two and a half days of battery life and all-day comfort
Dyson OnTrac is most notable for its 55-hour battery life. Two high-capacity lithium-ion batteries are placed in the headband to distribute the weight evenly. This ensures that the headphones do not become uncomfortable even with prolonged use. Certified as comfortable by US Ergonomics, Dyson OnTrac puts the cherry on the cake, so to speak, with its ear cushions made of soft microfiber and high-quality foam.
Customizable design
Another interesting feature of the headset is that it can be customized with four different color options and various combinations of outer cover and ear cushion. Available in Metallic Grey, Metallic Copper, Ceramic Gloss Red and Metallic Black, the headset is characterized by its durable and aesthetic finishes.
The outer covers are made of lightweight and durable aluminium with ceramic or anodized surfaces.
Dyson OnTrac has additional features such as capacitive sensors that pause music when removed from the ear, an intuitive control button and dual beam-forming microphones. It integrates with the MyDyson app for real-time audio monitoring and a choice between three custom equalizer modes.
