EA released Dead Space, which was first released in 2008, as a remake last year and the game received a lot of acclaim. However, it seems that EA does not agree with the players because there is bad news for Dead Space 2 remake.
Dead Space 2 remake is not on EA’s agenda
Rumors that EA is working on a DS 2 remake have been strongly denied by EA. The company denied this claim and stated that they will not comment on the issue.
EA’s Motive Studio was rumored to be working on a DS 2 remake and the project is currently on hold. According to the rumor, the development process of the game was shelved due to the fact that the Dead Space remake did not reach the expected sales rates.
However, EA denied these claims and stated that they have no plans for a Dead Space 2 remake. The absurdity of this claim was already evident when the Dead Space remake reached 3 million units sold.
The person who made the claim told IGN, “I’ll let you believe EA, but when the company says ‘it’s not true’ and doesn’t specify which part is not true… You get the idea. Dead Space 2 was definitely planned. It had a code name. And now they are not making it.”
After all these developments, we continue to keep our hopes for Dead Space 2 remake because the first game was really good. In this process, it would be better to listen to EA’s official statements rather than rumors.
