Elon Musk continues to remove the name “Twitter” from his X company. The platform, which has switched to the X logo and name instead of Twitter in the past weeks, also stops using its iconic items. It was stated that Elon Musk auctioned off many items such as the bird, table, chair, hashtag sign in the Twitter office.
Twitter’s bird, hashtag sign and more up for auction
Elon Musk is in the process of rebranding Twitter as X, including vacating the office in San Francisco. As part of this rebranding, items from the office will be auctioned off starting September 12. Memorabilia, musical equipment, vinyl records and many other Twitter products will be sold.
The online auction is called “Twitter Re-brands: Online Auction of Memorabilia, Artwork, Office Assets and More!” Many guitars, drum sets, amps and keyboards used in Twitter offices will be offered as collectibles.
The auction will include musical items and records, as well as various Twitter-branded signs, logos, office furniture and miscellaneous items from the headquarters in San Francisco. The auction will be held on September 12 and has a starting price of $25.
Elon Musk, who does not neglect to share the changes in X on his account, has not yet made a statement about the auction.
The company had organized a similar auction earlier this year as part of its office downsizing efforts. Even after this auction, it was revealed that Elon Musk wanted to sell the plants in the office to the employees.
