The world’s most famous entrepreneur, Elon Musk, has gradually started changing almost everything about Twitter, starting with its name. According to recent information, the social media platform may soon introduce a ‘dislike’ button, described as a ‘downvote’ button. And the changes don’t stop there…
Elon Musk can’t decide what to do with Twitter (X)
At the beginning of this month, codes from the beta version of Twitter (X) indicated that significant design changes were planned for the social media platform. According to these plans, buttons like like and retweet would be completely removed and instead be accessed through a menu that appears when you press and hold on a tweet.
New information discovered by the user who leaked this earlier suggests that, in addition to the like button, a new ‘downvote’ button might be coming to Twitter (X). This new feature was discovered in the iOS Beta version of the social media platform, but it is not yet known when it will be available for use.
It is quite interesting to see two different designs in two different beta versions. It seems that Elon Musk cannot decide whether the design of the social media platform should be simpler or include more functions. Of course, it is still possible that the dislike button could appear with gestures like swiping and pressing and holding.
Most likely, once all these changes are settled, the design will shift to one where you can like by swiping left, reply by swiping right, and control various functions with different finger movements. The dislike or downvote button will appear in this popup menu.
Of course, it is also possible that Musk is considering offering this as an option, allowing everyone to have the Twitter design they prefer. What do you think about this? Don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments section.
