Afeela, an electric car that is a joint project of Sony and Honda, is coming with an innovation that brings the gaming world to the road. Thanks to the announced Afeela PS Remote Play feature, you will be able to play your PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games directly on your car’s screen. This development heralds a new era in in-car entertainment systems.
How Will the Afeela PS Remote Play Feature Work?
This technology allows you to stream games from your PlayStation console at home to your car via the internet. You will be able to remotely access your PS5 or PS4 console through Afeela’s advanced In-Car Infotainment (IVI) system. This way, all your favorite games will be at your fingertips during long journeys or while parked.

According to a statement by Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), this feature is designed for both drivers and passengers. Passengers will be able to enjoy playing games even while the vehicle is in motion. Drivers, however, will only be able to use this feature when the vehicle is parked for safety reasons. This will make charging breaks or waiting times much more enjoyable.
A stable internet connection is critical for a smooth PS Remote Play experience. SHM states that a minimum internet speed of 5 Mbps is required, but a connection of 15 Mbps or higher is recommended for a seamless gaming experience. This highlights the importance of having a good mobile data connection in the vehicle.
First introduced at CES, the Afeela model aims to bring together the technology and automotive worlds with such innovative features.
