Apple is not usually known for frequent design changes and tends to continue with successful products. However, it seems the company may be breaking from tradition this time. The Mac mini, which hasn’t seen a design change since 2010, may be introduced in a new, smaller size with the M4 processor. Here are the details about the M4 processor Mac mini…
M4 Mac Mini May Be Announced in 2024
The beloved and portable Mac mini from Apple could see a shift to a smaller size. According to leaks, the Mac mini, which hasn’t undergone any design changes since 2010, might become even more compact in 2024. While screen sizes for phones and tablets continue to grow, Apple could offer a smaller form factor for the Mac mini.
Famous Apple analyst Mark Gurman has shared that the redesigned Mac mini could be announced this year. It is expected to be smaller compared to the current model and could be comparable in size to the Apple TV.
The Mac mini, expected to be introduced with the recently announced M4 processor, will come in two versions: one with the M4 processor and another with the M4 Pro processor, identified with the code name J773. Rumors suggest that the new Mac mini will be smaller, though it may be slightly taller than the current model’s 1.4-inch height.
Apple is expected to announce all its Mac models with the M4 processor this year, including the Mac mini, iMac, and MacBook Pro, while the Mac Pro, Mac Studio, and MacBook Air are anticipated for 2025. The Mac mini is projected to be introduced in October. Although there is no official confirmation yet, the new model is also rumored to be more affordably priced.
