The countdown officially began for the sequel model of Nintendo Switch, which went on sale as a lifeline to the doomed handheld console market in 2017. While industry sources state that the countdown has begun for the console, the latest reports reveal new details about the product. Here are the known features and potential release date of Nintendo Switch 2!
Nintendo Switch 2 will use DLSS in most games
According to information from sources close to Nintendo, Nintendo Switch 2 will support DLSS technology in most games. However, it is stated that the main reason for using this feature in games is that the hardware deficiencies of the console do not reduce the gaming experience. As it is known, the power of the Nintendo Switch 2 will be below that of the Xbox Series S, the weakest system of the current generation.
Of course, this should not be perceived as a sign that the console will be weak. However, it will be equipped to run productions that require high hardware without any problems, with proper optimization, from the date of its first release. The DLSS feature, which can increase FPS and resolution in games, will be a kind of precaution here.
Looking at past reports , Nintendo Switch 2 will come with an 8-inch LCD screen. On the other hand, it will be powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 239 processor. On the graphics side, Ray Tracing support will be available and will allow 1080p gaming.
The game console, which will come with 8 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, is expected to have support for DLSS, NVIDIA’s image scaling technology, as mentioned above. However, the device is available in two versions: physical and digital. It is said that the digital version will be sold at prices of $ 400 and the standard model will be sold at prices of $ 449.
According to the report shared by Japan’s Nikkei, the promotional launch of Nintendo Switch 2 will take place in March 2025.
Expected Nintendo Switch 2 features are listed as follows;
