There is just about a month left for Apple to introduce its new iPhone 15 series. While the new models are eagerly awaited, numerous claims have emerged regarding the next-generation iPhone models and their features. Especially for the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models, many innovations are in store.
What features will the iPhone 15 Pro have?
As known, with the iPhone 14 series, Apple significantly widened the gap between standard and Pro versions. It is expected that the company will continue this policy with the new generation. The rumors also confirm that many new features will be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro models.
As the introduction of Apple’s new smartphone series approaches, we have gathered 10 new features that are expected to be present only in the iPhone 15 Pro models, not in the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.
A17 Bionic Processor
The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to be equipped with the next-generation A17 Bionic processors, produced using the 3 nm manufacturing process by TSMC, which offers better performance and efficiency. The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models, on the other hand, will use the current A16 Bionic processors.
Titanium Frame
Just like the Apple Watch Ultra, which introduced us to titanium frames instead of stainless steel for the first time, the iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to feature titanium frames as well.
Thinner Screen Bezels
Similar to the latest Apple Watch models, the iPhone 15 Pro will have ultra-thin bezels around the screen. The new-generation phone’s display panels have already shown thinner bezels before the official launch. According to the information received, the iPhone 15 Pro models will come with a frame that is only 1.55 mm thick.
Faster USB Type-C Connection
It is claimed that the iPhone 15 Pro models will come with a USB-C connection point with at least USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 support. On the other hand, the USB-C connection on the standard iPhone 15 models is expected to be limited to USB 2.0 speeds, just like Lightning.
Wi-Fi 6E
Like the new MacBook models and iPad Pro, the iPhone 15 Pro will also support Wi-Fi 6E for higher wireless speeds. Recent reports confirm this information.
Increased RAM Capacity
According to the latest information, the iPhone 15 Pro models will be equipped with an increased 8 GB RAM. The standard models will continue to offer 6 GB RAM as they do now. The increased RAM is expected to enhance the performance of the new models.
Programmable Task Button
Unlike all previous iPhone models, where a switch-like control was used to silence the phones, the iPhone 15 will replace this control with a programmable button. Users will be able to use this button to adjust the phone’s sound settings and assign different tasks to it.
Enhanced Optical Zoom
According to the information, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a periscope telephoto lens. While the iPhone 14 Pro models offered 3x zoom, the new model is expected to provide at least 6x zoom. It is also rumored that the increased optical zoom will lead to a larger camera bump in the new generation. The camera bump on the iPhone 15 Pro models is expected to reach 3.78 millimeters.
Improved LiDAR Sensors
The iPhone 15 Pro models are said to feature a LiDAR sensor from Sony that enhances the 3D depth scanning performance for augmented reality applications and night mode photos, utilizing power more efficiently.
