Meta has officially announced new features for Facebook Messenger, aiming to make searches more intuitive, reliable, and engaging by leveraging artificial intelligence technologies. These updates are designed to make Messenger chats even more enjoyable. Here are the details:
Exciting New Features for Facebook Messenger
One of the most notable additions is AI-generated wallpapers that can be used during video calls. This feature allows users to customize wallpapers to match their mood or add a creative touch to their conversations. To create a unique wallpaper, select the effects icon on the video call sidebar and choose the “Wallpapers” option. The rest is handled by Meta AI.
Another upgrade includes HD video calls with background noise suppression and voice isolation features for superior sound and video quality. HD will be enabled by default for calls over Wi-Fi, but it can also be activated for mobile networks through the app settings.
Meta has also introduced a voice and video message feature, transforming Messenger into a virtual voicemail system. Users can record and send messages by tapping the dedicated “Save Message” button.
For iPhone users, Siri integration offers greater convenience. Apple’s voice assistant can now be used to make calls or send messages via Messenger. For example, you can say, “Hey Siri, send a message to [contact name] on Messenger,” and dictate the text to send directly.
