The long wait for the horror-comedy film series A Scary Movie is coming to an end.After more than 20 years, the Wayans brothers (Keenen, Shawn and Marlon), the producers of the series and stars of the first three films, announced that they have started preparations for A Scary Movie. Accordingly, they announced that filming will begin next year.

The Wayans brothers, who achieved great success with their first three films released in 2000, 2001 and 2003, humorously tackled popular horror films of the era such as Scream, The Exorcist and Signs. Now they are preparing to add their own comedic style to the most important productions of modern horror cinema.
In a statement released by the Wayans brothers, it was stated that they are very excited to come together again. Stating that there have been many innovative and scary movies in the horror genre in the last decade, the brothers said that they will bring their unique comedic interpretations to these modern classics.

In the production, which is expected to be called A Scary Movie 6; parodies of recent popular films such as Get Out, Hereditary and Midsommar can be seen. Jordan Peele’s horror trilogy with social messages and Ari Aster’s disturbing atmosphere could be the subject of this movie.
It is not yet clear whether familiar faces from the previous films in the series, such as Regina Hall and Anna Faris, will appear in the new movie. The long-awaited sequel is scheduled to be released next year.
