Many years have passed since then. Old loves rekindled, perhaps ignited again through songs shared on Spotify. However, the Spotify desktop application has remained unupdated. Moreover, we’re talking about one of the most widely used music applications in the world. But this longing is finally coming to an end. The Spotify desktop application is receiving a new update after years. Here are the details…
Spotify desktop finally gets a new update after years!
The goal of being user-friendly continues with the upcoming update. Within this scope, the Spotify desktop application will showcase a series of innovations. But don’t worry, you won’t lose your familiar Spotify habits. In fact, everything will remain in the familiar layout, but in a more convenient way.
Firstly, the Spotify desktop application is divided into two windows. The main screen is split into two parts. On the right side, you can find your playlists, home, and search buttons. On the left side, you can view the contents of playlists and artists. This interface is actually a simple and easy-to-use model. However, it will be much easier for you to see options like the next track, playlists, etc., in a music application.
In this update, a three-panel design will greet you. The left side will still contain your playlists, home, and search buttons in the familiar layout. However, this section has been expanded and now has sharper lines. This way, you won’t get dizzy while navigating between playlists. Additionally, when you click on the search button, the search bar will now open in the left panel.
This means that when you search for a song, the playlist you are currently listening to will not close. Because you will be able to see the contents of your playlists from the middle panel. Finally, when we come to the third panel located on the right side, let’s start by saying that you can keep this panel open or closed as you prefer. In the far right position, you will be able to see recommended tracks similar to the one you are currently listening to. This will make it easier for you to discover new music.
So, what are your thoughts on the new update that the Spotify desktop application will receive? Don’t forget to share your opinions in the comments section.
