Mozilla Firefox received an anticipated update today with version 132. This new update for the browser comes with improvements and new features, emphasizing support for the new screen sharing capabilities available in macOS Sequoia 15, among other interesting innovations. Here are the details…
New Features in Firefox 132
To start, the browser has begun blocking third-party cookies with the Advanced Tracking Protection mode. Similarly, it also blocks HTTP favicons that are not served over HTTPS and enables hardware-accelerated rendering for better graphics performance.
On the macOS side, Firefox comes with improvements in the “Copy without site tracking” option, which supports WebGL colors compatible with Windows. There is also an option that allows the program to automatically reopen when the computer is restarted while powered on.
In the version for Android devices, the browser allows users to resize the visual appearance while using the keyboard. Additionally, the address bar has been moved to the top of the screen. For developers, the new update removes HTTP/2 Push support due to compatibility issues.
The update also adds fixes for security vulnerabilities, along with support for post-quantum key exchange functions for TLS 1.3 for developers. In this case, improvements also serve to optimize working with video frames and resource loading methods.
The new version of Firefox is now available for download. What do you think of the new update?
