The countdown has begun for Xiaomi, one of the successful players in the smartphone market, to launch its POCO F7 series. The upcoming smartphones, aimed at global users, are reported to have recently crossed a significant milestone.
POCO F7 Series Clears Another Hurdle on Its Global Journey
The POCO F7 and F7 Ultra have been spotted in the IMDA database with model numbers 24122RKC7G and 2412DPC0AG, respectively. While this development does not reveal details about their launch dates or key specifications, it suggests that users won’t have to wait much longer. The listing confirms that the models will support 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC.
Sources indicate that the POCO F7 series will involve rebranding, a common strategy among Chinese manufacturers. The standard model is expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4, set to debut in December, while the Ultra model will likely be the rebranded Redmi K80 Pro, launching on November 27.
If the leaks are accurate, the smartphones will share the same core specifications despite differences in names and designs. However, Xiaomi has yet to make any official statement on this matter.
The Redmi K80 Pro, expected to be rebranded globally as the POCO F7 Ultra, has the following known specifications:
