Ford introduced the new VW-based electric Explorer model exclusively for Europe!

After the rise of Tesla, many Chinese companies accelerated the production of electric cars. For this reason, dozens of automobile brands such as Ford, BMW and Volkswagen made unexpected moves. Of course, many were several years late in making this transformation. However, as a result of this, they came together and started to develop and use the same infrastructure and turn the situation into an advantage.

Ford is taking its electric transformation as seriously as German manufacturers. In fact, it started to introduce electric versions in all its models, from the iconic Mustang, which everyone has known for 50 years, to the F-150, the best-selling pickup truck in the USA.

The new electric Explorer introduced today is part of this process. Moreover, it uses the infrastructure developed by Volkswagen. But for now, it will only be sold in Europe. When we look inside the vehicle, it has all the elements that have become standard today, such as a fully equipped infotainment system, 15-inch animated screen, wireless application integration and advanced driver assistance.

However, since this car is electric, the most important details lie in its technical specs. Although being electric may seem like a disadvantage for many people, its charging from 10 percent to 80 percent in 25 minutes and shows everyone that it is above the average.

Moreover, it is fully compatible with 21,000 charging stations in the UK and 500,000 in Europe (25 countries). In addition, the brand positions this model directly opposite the Nissan Ariya and Kia EV5.
