One of the channels that has been on the agenda lately is Twitter. The platform, which was purchased by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk for 44 billion dollars in recent years, is currently continuing on its way with a different understanding and policy than before. Of course, this creates a need for a different platform on the user side. Finally, former Twitter founder Jack Dorsey‘s platform called Bluesky, which was recently launched for general use, reached a significant number of users on its first day.
Bluesky gained almost 1 million users on its first day after going public
Microblogging platform Bluesky has worked with an invitation system like Clubhouse, which caused havoc in 2021, for a long time. However, this situation changed recently, and the platform was opened to all users. This paved the way for the Twitter rival channel to gain almost 1 million users in a short time.
Bluesky‘s total number of users is 4.1 million and this is increasing rapidly with each passing minute. Company CEO Jay Graber even noted Bluesky’s growing popularity in a post on X, saying, “Things are turning around here.”
Jack Dorsey, who left his seat as Twitter CEO in 2021 and continued as a board member, left the company he founded during the acquisition negotiations. Dorsey did not completely close the social media book, and in this context, he launched a new platform called Bluesky, which rivals Twitter, in recent years.
