In the smartwatch market, apart from players such as Apple, Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi, there are also some classic watch manufacturers such as Fossil. The company, which designs especially for users’ need for stylish smartwatches, could not achieve the sales success it wanted. In this sense, Fossil decided to withdraw from the smartwatch market.

Fossil smartwatches that come with Wear OS support will finally appear with the Gen 6 series. Fossil smartwatches sold in Turkey will continue to receive Wear OS update support for a while. There is also a possibility that the company will lower its prices to consume the remaining watch stocks.

Fossil comes up with two different designs in the smartwatch market: stylish and sporty. However, Apple’s dominance in the smartwatch market prevents small-scale brands from surviving. Although the Apple ecosystem runs other smartwatches, different brands may not work as synchronized as an Apple Watch.

Fossil announced that it will focus on the classic watch market. The smartwatch market has been very active in recent years. Huawei tried to fill the market it lost in smartphones with smartwatches for a long time. This caused the brand to grow in smartwatch sales. Again, brands like Xiaomi and Realme want to grow in the affordable smartwatch market. Samsung is also among the brands pushing the Apple market with its latest premium smartwatch models.
