Qualcomm will officially unveil its new Snapdragon X platform for Windows 11 PCs later this month. But the key specifications of the first processors have been revealed. Here’s a look at what the first Snapdragon-powered laptops will offer.
Snapdragon X Elite and Plus revealed
According to the leaks, there will be four different models on the Snapdragon X platform. There will be three 12-core Elite variants with different clock speeds and GPU performance, and a 10-core Plus model.
The top-end Snapdragon X Elite will be codenamed X1E-84-100. It will feature 12 cores with a maximum clock speed of 3.8 GHz and a dual-core configuration up to 4.2 GHz. Its GPU is said to offer up to 4.6 TFLOPs of processing power.
The Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100 will run at 3.4GHz, slightly lowering its maximum clock speed. However, it will still deliver over 3.8 TFLOPs of graphics performance. The lower-powered X Elite X1E-78-100 will be the model that completes the Elite series.
The Snapdragon X Plus X1P-64-100, on the other hand, will feature 10 cores running at 3.4GHz with around 3.8 TFLOPs of graphics performance. All four processors will have 42MB of total cache and Qualcomm’s 45 TOP AI engine.
