Ubisoft has announced the system requirements for XDefiant, a first-person shooter game set to rival Call of Duty. According to the requirements, even players with approximately 10-year-old computers will be able to play XDefiant. After a long wait, the game is set to officially launch, expected to compete with titles like Valorant and Call of Duty Warzone. XDefiant will be released on May 21.

While XDefiant theoretically requires 8GB RAM and a 4GB graphics card, the actual performance in terms of frame rates remains uncertain. Ubisoft’s recommendation of a Core i7 9700K or Ryzen 7 3700X has caused some confusion, as it is known that the 3700X does not perform as well as the 9700K.
Additionally, the performance difference between these CPUs might be significant at lower resolutions. For ‘Ultra’ settings at 4K, XDefiant requires an RTX 3080, indicating that CPU power might be less critical at this level.
Ubisoft has ended support for The Crew. However, the deletion of the game from user libraries caused a huge backlash.
What is XDefiant?
Developed since 2021, XDefiant features various factions and classes, each with unique abilities and weapons. The game is set in the Ubisoft universe, with map locations based on multiple Ubisoft game settings. Players can engage in fast-paced, team-based multiplayer matches across various maps and game modes. On April 17, 2023, the game’s closed beta was released and reached approximately 50,000 viewers on the live streaming platform Twitch.
