As one of the best sci-fi action movies of recent years, the 6-time Oscar-winning global hit “Mad Max: Fury Road” gets a prequel with “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” which is eagerly awaiting its audience, and now, its breathtaking new trailer has dropped.
Oscar-winning director George Miller returns to the iconic dystopian world he created with the groundbreaking “Mad Max” movies.
The second trailer for this new, original, standalone action adventure, which opens a new chapter by uncovering the origins of Furiosa, the strong character from the 6-time Oscar-winning global hit “Mad Max: Fury Road,” has been released.
In the film directed once again by George Miller, Anya Taylor-Joy plays a younger version of Charlize Theron’s character Furiosa from “Mad Max: Fury Road.” As the world falls apart, young Furiosa is kidnapped from the Green Place of the Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by Warlord Dementus. While traveling through the Wasteland, they arrive at the Citadel presided over by Immortan Joe. Two dictators fight for dominance. Meanwhile, Furiosa struggles to find her way home, facing many trials.
The film stars Taylor-Joy, with Chris Hemsworth, Alyla Browne, and Tom Burke also taking on roles. The production is led by Miller and Doug Mitchell.
The script, co-written by Miller and “Mad Max: Fury Road” co-writer Nico Lathouris, features a creative team behind the camera that includes first assistant director PJ Voeten, second unit director and stunt coordinator Guy Norris, cinematographer Simon Duggan, composer Tom Holkenborg, sound designer Robert Mackenzie, editor Eliot Knapman, visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson, and colorist Eric Whipp.
Many team members from “Mad Max: Fury Road” have returned for the sequel, including production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, sound mixer designer Ben Osmo, costume designer Jenny Beavan, and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt.
