Significant leaks have emerged about Samsung’s next-generation wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Both the design and features of these highly anticipated earbuds have been revealed in detail thanks to animations in the leaked One UI 8.5 software. These leaks are the clearest information yet about the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. The earbuds are expected to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung is breaking new ground: The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro will feature head gesture control
The leaked animations confirm a refreshed design for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Samsung is apparently abandoning the sharp, triangular aesthetic of the Buds 3 Pro, opting instead for a more streamlined stem. The prominent light bar on the stem is missing from the new model, but the pinch controls appear to have been retained.
The design changes aren’t limited to the earbuds alone. The charging case has also been redesigned. In previous models, the earbuds were placed vertically in the case. The new Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, similar to other premium earbuds, will lay flat inside the box. It hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the standard Buds 4 model will follow this design. However, if Samsung repeats its strategy with the Buds 3 series, the base model is likely to receive a similar design.
The most notable innovation is a powerful feature called “Head Gestures.” This feature, found in the One UI 8.5 codecs, appears to be more advanced than similar features in Sony and Google headphones. Samsung hasn’t limited this feature to just answering or rejecting calls.
According to leaks, Head Gestures will allow users to respond to calls and notifications by shaking or tilting their head. They can also start and stop notifications being read aloud. This feature will also allow users to dismiss alarms, timers, and calendar alerts. Users will be able to respond to the AI assistant with “yes/no.” This will provide complete hands-free control, especially when touching or speaking to the phone is not possible.
Leaked animations also reveal other features on the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Many of these are already available on the Buds 3 Pro. Features like 360° recording, Adaptive Noise Control, and “Find My Phone” will also be included in the new model. All these leaks suggest that the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro could be a significant upgrade over the previous model.
Samsung’s new earbuds promise significant changes in both their design and the hands-free control features they offer. What do you think of the earbuds’ design and Head Gestures feature? We look forward to your comments.
