Samsung is bringing new flagship devices every year, especially for Galaxy S-series. Galaxy S24 might be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the US
If you remember, Samsung was claimed to be working on its own improved Exynos chipset for the next-generation flagship smartphones. While Samsung is still developing the flagship chipset, the Geekbench results appeared that the Galaxy S24+ (model number SM-S926U) will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and 8GB of RAM. However, it seems to be exclusive to the US and China.
Although there might be a Snapdragon version, you shouldn’t be hopeful if you don’t live in one of these countries. Samsung will offer the Galaxy S24 with the Exynos 2400 processor in Europe, Latin America, and some parts of Asia. There are no leaks about the performance of the expected chipset, so we hope that it will show similar performance and efficiency to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
On the benchmark, we can also see the details about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. According to the results, the chipset has one Cortex-X4 CPU clocked at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 3.15GHz, two Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 2.96GHz, and two Cortex-A520 CPU cores clocked at 2.27GHz. Also, it comes with the Adreno 750 GPU, and the Galaxy S24+ runs Android 14.
The upcoming flagship phone scored 2,233 points in the single-core CPU test (Geekbench 6) and 6,661 points in the multicore CPU test. We can assume that Samsung should be hardworking on the chipset not to lose its throne in the Android market.
