Will the Galaxy S26 Unpacked event be held in San Francisco?
According to a new report from Korean news outlet Money Today, Samsung may unveil the Galaxy S26 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco on February 25, 2026. While Samsung has not yet officially confirmed this date, industry sources indicate that the company has begun preparations for the event.

Samsung traditionally holds its Galaxy S Unpacked events in late January or early February. Therefore, the February 25th date represents an unusually slight delay in the launch schedule. The company has not yet released final details or official invitations.
According to the report, an official familiar with the matter said, “Samsung is preparing for its first San Francisco Unpacked event in three years, since the S23 in 2023. As San Francisco has become a global hub for AI technology, it is an ideal location for Samsung to host an event that ushers in the era of AI smartphones.”
If rumors are true, this will be Samsung’s first San Francisco-based Galaxy S event in three years, following the launch of the Galaxy S23 series in 2023.
The Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature the company’s new Exynos 2600 chipset and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities. The previously planned “Edge” variant has been canceled, and Samsung is expected to continue with three models: standard, Plus, and Ultra. While the event is still months away, more information about the Galaxy S26 series is likely to surface as development progresses.
