New information regarding the Galaxy S26 Plus battery specs has surfaced, causing more disappointment than excitement in the tech community. Leaks about Samsung’s highly anticipated new series continue to emerge, and recent details from a TUV certification database suggest the company is playing it safe with its hardware this year.
Leaked Galaxy S26 Plus Battery Specs Unveiled
A certification listing for a device with the model number SM-S947B/DS has revealed its energy capacity. According to the data, the device will feature a lithium-ion battery with a nominal capacity of 4,755 mAh. Samsung will likely market this value as 4,900 mAh, a figure that is very familiar to tech enthusiasts.
This is because the Galaxy S25+ offered the exact same capacity. While new, more energy-efficient processors could potentially increase the device’s usage time, this is still a disappointing development for those who were expecting a physical capacity upgrade. This means any improvements in battery life will have to come from software optimization rather than a larger battery.

Charging Speeds Also Remain Stagnant
The leaked listing not only detailed the battery capacity but also shed light on the charging speeds. The Galaxy S26+ is set to come with 45W wired charging support, just like its predecessor. At a time when competitors like OnePlus are achieving much higher speeds, Samsung’s decision to not upgrade has drawn criticism.
However, there is a small glimmer of hope for wireless charging. The database did not specify the wireless charging speed, which could indicate the integration of a new technology. Rumors suggest the series might adopt the Qi2 standard with internal magnets. This would allow the devices to surpass the 15W limit of previous models.
