Samsung’s Galaxy S26 lineup just gave fans their first look albeit a subtle one. A set of early render images was discovered inside the One UI 8.5 beta, showcasing the rear design of the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. Alongside the visuals, there’s a more significant reveal: the long-overdue Qi2 magnetic charging support is finally arriving.
Galaxy S26 design leaks directly from Samsung’s software

The new renders aren’t flashy, but they carry weight for one reason: they come straight from Samsung. Android Authority found four images embedded in One UI 8.5’s beta code, each labeled with device codenames: M1 (S26), M2 (S26 Plus), and M3 (S26 Ultra).
The rear design follows the familiar vertical camera layout seen in recent Galaxy flagships. There’s no radical redesign, though some last-minute changes to the base model’s thickness have reportedly been made and may still shift before launch.
Qi2 magnetic charging finally arrives
While the renders themselves are underwhelming, the bigger news may lie in Samsung’s overdue embrace of Qi2. A leaked Galaxy S26 magnetic power bank confirms that the phones will include built-in magnets, allowing users to attach Qi2-compatible accessories without a special case.
This update puts Samsung in line with Apple’s MagSafe and Google’s Pixel 10 series, both of which already support Qi2. Until now, Samsung users have had to rely on magnetic cases or third-party workarounds. With Qi2 built in, that friction finally disappears.
Galaxy S26 lineup shapes up for early 2026
Though the S26 family isn’t expected to launch until early 2026, leaks have steadily built a picture of what to expect. These new images direct from Samsung’s own software further solidify the design direction.
More importantly, Qi2 magnet support shows Samsung is ready to catch up in the accessory space, allowing for snap-on chargers, stands, and other magnetic gear without compromise.
So while the renders may be bland, the functionality behind them is anything but.
