Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra models are expected to have shorter battery lifespans compared to their predecessors. Information found in Europe’s EPREL database reveals that the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s battery is rated for just 1,200 charging cycles.
This figure falls below the 2,000 cycles specified for last year’s Galaxy Tab S10 series.
Galaxy Tab S11’s battery life to be shorter than its predecessor
On paper, the Tab S11 and S11 Ultra are said to deliver 81 hours and 95 hours of typical usage on a single charge, respectively. However, the reduced cycle rating suggests that the batteries may require replacement much earlier than previous models.

The Galaxy Tab S11 lineup will feature 11-inch and 14.6-inch AMOLED displays, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, and up to 16GB of RAM. The tablets will also come with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. Meanwhile, the EPREL data indicates a repairability score of “C” and a drop resistance rating of “E.”
By comparison, the more affordable Galaxy Tab S10 Lite retains the 2,000-cycle battery rating and offers 88 hours of usage on a single charge. However, it comes with an LCD display and the Exynos 1380 chipset instead.
The Galaxy Tab S11 series is expected to be officially unveiled around September, following Samsung’s typical release schedule.
