Samsung’s One UI 6 update has arrived on the Galaxy Watch 4 as the latest operating system based on Wear OS 5. With the new update, the long-awaited feature has finally been released to users. Galaxy Watch 4 users have now been offered the Always-On Display (AOD) feature that they can use anywhere. Here are all the details of the new update…
Always-On Display (AOD) feature comes with Galaxy Watch 4 update
With this fourth beta update, which comes with a version number ending in ZXH4, the Galaxy Watch 4 can now display the AOD function on any screen. For example, if you stop looking at your watch while exercising, the exercise information shown before the screen turns off will continue to be displayed in AOD mode, but will be dimmed.
Unfortunately, the new update that comes with the AOD feature is currently only available in South Korea, although it is expected to roll out to other regions soon. The update includes system and performance improvements, as well as basic network optimizations.
Despite the Galaxy Watch 4 being a device that was released a few generations ago, it is definitely commendable that it receives such important software updates and Samsung continues to support its older devices.
The Global AOD feature offered by One UI 6 makes the Galaxy Watch 4 more functional and offers a much more practical use for the watch. The fact that Samsung continues to offer such comprehensive updates even to its older generation devices is considered a big plus for users.
