It’s that time of the year when we see Samsung’s latest leaks and renders. Galaxy Z Fold 6 appeared with the leak of render images. Let’s take a look at the design together.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 in render images appears angular
New render images shared by OnLeaks via SmartPrix show that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 has undergone a very slight design change. The first thing that stands out is the overall shape. In the render leak, every corner of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is easily visible and it has much sharper edges than its predecessor.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 had slightly rounded edges. Galaxy Z Fold 6 renders reveal that this model has a design inspired by the S24 Ultra or an old Galaxy Note.
The outer edges of the foldable screen are also squared off perpendicular to the phone. This gives the phone a more modern look by flattening the edges, just like the S24 and S24+.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to be slightly wider than expected. It will measure 153.5 x 132.5 mm. The width difference is 2.6 mm on its side and 1.3 mm when folded. The Fold 6 looks slightly shorter with a similar but less extreme difference. It appears to be the same thickness when open, at 6.1 mm, and again lacks an S Pen slot.
Earlier leaks had indicated that the Fold 6 is likely to adjust the aspect ratio of its external display. If these new specs and renders are accurate, it seems that this change may not be as significant as we expected. In the leaked images, the front screen appears slightly wider than it was on the Fold 5.
There are also rumors of a more affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 variant. In this case, it’s also likely that the device will offer the expected modified front screen display aspect ratio. A lot remains unclear at the moment, but the details will become clear when Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this year.
