Last month, Oppo made great efforts to prove that the Find N5 was the world’s most durable foldable phone. However, according to new rumors, this throne could change hands again with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7. Here are the details…
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is on its way to becoming the world’s most durable foldable phone!
The design of the Galaxy Z Fold7 is now largely known, but there is some debate about the screen size. Previously, it was thought that the Galaxy Z Fold7 would use the body of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which is officially sold only in China and South Korea. However, recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be thinner and larger than both the Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Special Edition.

This means that this year’s Galaxy Z Fold may share less hardware than last year’s models. PandaFlashPro claims that Samsung plans to make the Galaxy Z Fold7 the world’s “most durable foldable phone.” However, it is not yet clear by what criteria Samsung will define this. For example, the Oppo Find N5 has an IPX9 water resistance rating, which beats the Galaxy Z Fold6’s IPX8 rating.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Fold6 officially has an IP4 dust resistance rating. Oppo has not tested the Find N5 for dust resistance. According to PandaFlashPro, Samsung will be improving the micro-brushes to increase this resistance. In other words, it will prevent foreign particles from entering the phone’s hinge structure.
In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold7’s hinge mechanism will also receive an upgrade. Although PandaFlashPro did not provide any details on this, it is expected that the new hinge will further reduce the fold marks. Currently, the fold marks on the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition are quite minimal, but Samsung is planning to improve them even more.
In the meantime, Samsung is thought to be planning to launch the Galaxy Z Fold7 this summer alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7. So, what do you think about this model? You can write your opinions in the comments section below…
