Nominees for the Game Awards 2024 awards have been announced. The competition, which rewards the productions that have left their mark on the gaming industry, especially the game of the year, brings the productions released in 2023 head-to-head once again.
Game Awards 2024 nominees
Excitement for the 2024 Game Awards is at its peak. This year’s ceremony looks set to be one of the most ambitious and inclusive to date, with Geoff Keighley announcing the nominees in 29 different categories. The 12 December event will be broadcast live on the Game Awards’ social media channels.
In addition to the Game of the Year award, other contested categories include Best Sequel, Best Esports Team and Innovation in Accessibility. The nominees were selected by an international jury that accounted for 90 per cent of the votes, with the remaining 10 per cent determined by user votes.
In particular, this year’s awards will evaluate a wider range of content beyond just new releases. DLCs, expansions, remakes and even new seasons of games with live service will be eligible for evaluation.
