A quiet but powerful update is making its way to select Garmin users. Garmin Health Status, a new sleep-related feature, has started rolling out through Garmin Connect. First seen on the Venu 4, the feature is already live for many users through the web app and is gradually expanding to others.
Garmin Health Status focuses on five key sleep metrics

At the core of Garmin Health Status is a dashboard that tracks five sleep-influenced health metrics: heart rate, HRV (heart rate variability), respiration, skin temperature, and Pulse Ox. These are collected overnight and displayed in a clear snapshot format.
Users get added insight through calculated “typical ranges,” but that takes 21 to 28 days of data to build. Until then, a “Calibration in progress” message appears.
Notifications flag unusual changes in Garmin Health Status
The tool isn’t just for passive tracking. If any reading strays far from the norm, users can receive an “Outlier” alert. This could point to high stress, sickness, or restless sleep.
Even better, each metric is clickable, unlocking a 7-day view with more granular data.
