Garmin is rolling out software version 5.10 for its Bounce 2 LTE smartwatch, bringing a handful of meaningful upgrades for users, especially those in low-signal areas. This stable update builds on the previous version 4.28 and focuses on better battery life, smoother calling, and new activity tracking.
Better battery performance in weak Garmin LTE zones

The biggest highlight in this update is improved battery life when the watch operates in areas with poor LTE coverage. The Bounce 2, which launched in September 2025, had previously struggled to maintain power in patchy signal conditions. Version 5.10 addresses that issue directly, helping users get more out of each charge.
Garmin adds a new activity and improves others
With version 5.10, Garmin is adding a new activity mode: Fish. This joins the smartwatch’s existing lineup of kid-friendly fitness options. On top of that, core activities like Run, Walk, and Bike now benefit from improved tracking and functionality, according to the update notes.
More language support and call enhancements
Garmin is also expanding the language support on the Bounce 2. While the full list of new languages wasn’t disclosed, users can expect broader accessibility as part of the update.
The calling experience gets a small but welcome fix. Transitions between Wi-Fi and LTE are now more seamless, avoiding the call drops or stutters some users had reported. In addition, an issue involving multiple headphone pairings has been resolved.
Garmin Bounce 2 update adds smarter vibration controls
Another subtle tweak targets the watch’s vibration alerts. Version 5.10 disables vibrations for reminders during school or sleep modes, preventing unwanted distractions during quiet hours.
How to install the update
The Bounce 2 smartwatch update is now live for all users. To install software version 5.10, simply open the Garmin Jr. App on your connected smartphone and follow the update prompts.
With better efficiency, more features, and a smoother user experience, the Bounce 2 is now a smarter pick for parents and more comfortable for kids.
