DeepSeek, which has been on the agenda recently and is stated to be a ChatGPT competitor, has now started to be integrated into vehicles by Chinese automobile giants. DeepSeek, whose use is banned in a different country almost every day and whose user data was leaked yesterday, reached an agreement with Geely. Geely will offer the DeepSeek model in the vehicles it will introduce in the future. Here are the details.
Geely and DeepSeek are working for ‘Smart Geely 2025’
Especially models of electric cars equipped with artificial intelligence attract great interest. The situation is the same in China as it is all over the world, and the market has grown considerably after the attacks made by Chinese automobile giants. On 6 February, Geely announced that it will combine its Xingrui AI model with the R1 model developed by DeepSeek.

Combining its own system with the R1, Geely will integrate an advanced artificial intelligence model into its vehicles. Xingrui AI, also announced as Geely’s first fully self-developed automotive artificial intelligence model, consists of three basic components: language model, multi-modal model, and digital twin.
Geely, one of the car manufacturers that wants the Chinese automotive industry to accelerate further, plans to bring users closer to technology by integrating advanced artificial intelligence systems into vehicles with the ‘Smart Geely 2025’ programme.
Especially with the spread of electric vehicles, the number of vehicles sold by Geely in January 2025 was 266,700. This corresponds to a 27 per cent monthly and 25 per cent annual increase. However, Geely’s integration of the DeepSeek model into its vehicles may pose problems in the US and European markets.
