The PlayStation 5 version of Ghost of Yotei has achieved a Metacritic score of 87 based on 106 reviews shared on Metacritic. The game has received positive reviews from some publications, including Digital Trends, VGC, and Game Rant, who gave it a 100 score, while Game Informer gave it a 93 score and IGN an 80.

The highly anticipated Ghost of Yotei will be available for PlayStation 5 on October 2, 2025. The previous game in the series, Ghost of Tsushima, was released for PlayStation 4 in 2020, PlayStation 5 in 2021, and PC in 2024.
