Samsung has announced a next-generation AI feature for its 2025 TVs, allowing users to instantly interact with the content they watch. The company has named this system Vision AI Companion.
New AI Coming to Samsung TVs
Based on a new version of Bixby, powered by generative AI, this feature elevates the TV experience far beyond traditional assistants. Users can now ask direct questions about the content they see on screen.

With the new Vision AI Companion, it’s possible to ask the TV who the actor is in a movie, what films they’ve starred in before, or the final score of a football match.
The system isn’t limited to content-based information. It also offers users movie and TV series recommendations, recipes, and travel and nearby restaurant recommendations. According to Samsung, the system works by combining various AI models, including Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity.
This feature enables users to engage in natural, context-aware, and conversational conversations. Furthermore, because it integrates with the television, it displays responses not only verbally but also visually on the screen.
The company states that this new assistant is also central to other AI functions, such as AI image optimization and real-time translation. First unveiled at the IFA trade show in September, Vision AI Companion is now available for the 2025 TV line.
The system supports 10 different languages, including English, Korean, and Spanish. Supported TV models include Neo QLED, Micro RGB, OLED, QLED step-up TVs, Smart Monitors, and The Movingstyle series.
For Samsung, which does not sell smart speakers, this new feature makes televisions the central hub of the company’s in-home AI ecosystem. Along with home appliances like smart refrigerators and washing machines, Samsung offers an AI experience directly integrated into users’ living spaces.
