Production is accelerating for DC Studios’ highly anticipated new Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow. According to reports from the lead actors, the film will be released in April. With this announcement, the countdown to Man of Tomorrow’s release date of July 9, 2027, has officially begun.
A new Superman movie is coming
Nicholas Hoult, who played Lex Luthor in the first film, announced the filming date for the sequel. Hoult emphatically stated that filming for the new adventures will begin very soon.

Released this summer, Superman, the first film in the series, exceeded the studio’s expectations at the box office. The film grossed $616 million worldwide and garnered generally positive reviews, paving the way for a sequel. The studio officially announced Man of Tomorrow in September.
Information about the film’s story is currently limited. However, clues shared so far suggest that the main plot will focus on Superman and Lex Luthor’s combined forces to stop the alien villain Brainiac, who has arrived to take over Earth.
The cast includes returning cast members from the first film. David Corenswet will reprise his role as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
Newcomers to the cast include Isabela Merced, who plays Hawkgirl, and Pom Klementieff, who previously worked with director James Gunn on the Guardians of the Galaxy series.
