Xiaomi is preparing to intensify competition in the phone market. The global launch date for the company’s highly anticipated new “T” series models, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro, has been officially announced. The new phones, which follow on from last year’s successful 14T series, will be unveiled at an event on September 24th. Leaks indicate that the Pro model, in particular, will distinguish itself with its camera capabilities and the powerful hardware of both devices.
What will the Xiaomi 15T Pro’s features be like?
According to the leaks, the Xiaomi 15T Pro will be equipped with a periscopic telephoto lens, the most striking feature of the series. This lens will offer users 5x optical zoom (115mm equivalent) and even greater digital zoom, opening a new avenue for mobile photography. This feature is poised to make the 15T Pro one of the most ambitious camera phones on the market.
Both models are expected to feature a Leica-designed triple-camera setup. This setup is rumored to include a 50MP main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto lens with a 50MP sensor.
On the performance front, Xiaomi continues its strong partnership with MediaTek. The standard Xiaomi 15T model will be powered by the next-generation MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset, while the Xiaomi 15T Pro will push the limits with the flagship-level Dimensity 9400+ processor. Both phones will reportedly come standard with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, promising a seamless user experience.
