Google Chrome achieved its highest score ever in a browser performance test. Measurements made using the Speedometer 3 benchmark showed that the latest version of Chrome reached a level no other browser had attained before. The test was conducted on a MacBook Pro with an M4 processor running macOS 15.
Google Chrome breaks record in performance test
Speedometer 3 measures how fast and efficiently a browser handles common daily tasks. The evaluation includes executing JavaScript scripts, processing CSS, rendering fonts, and visualizing HTML elements. Chrome outperformed all competitors in these tasks, taking the top spot.

The performance improvement is due to Google’s extensive optimizations over the past year. Since August 2024, the company has increased overall browser efficiency by 10%. During this period, memory management was reorganized, text processing mechanisms improved, and significant enhancements were made especially in handling CSS and JavaScript code.
The developer team also took steps to help Chrome use system resources more evenly. Thanks to these technical interventions, a much smoother internet experience is offered on both desktop and mobile devices.
Especially noticeable are the faster loading of high-resolution content and smoother page transitions. So, what do you think about this? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
