Google Chrome performance will skyrocket! Here’s why

Google is releasing targeted optimizations for Chrome. In this context, browser performance increased by more than 70 percent.

As the internet becomes an integral part of our lives, browser apps are becoming more important. Today, Google Chrome is the clear winner, but it has competitors like Safari and Edge. However, Google has recently revealed that Chrome has received major performance boosts.

Speedometer 3.0, which deals with browser performance results, was created by companies such as Google, Mozilla, Microsoft and Apple. The app aims to test browsers using modern web results.

Google has been closely monitoring Chrome’s performance on Speedometer 3.0 since the service was launched in May. According to an article published for the Chromium project, Chrome experienced a 72 percent increase in its Speedometer score thanks to optimizations made by Google. This means that the application is almost half as fast.

Google stated that it analyzed Chrome’s operations in Speedometer tests. In this context, it made targeted improvements that improved performance. Key optimizations included improvements to Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine.

Browser performance tests on Arm-based devices showed that Chrome was the fastest main browser. It even outperformed competitors like Edge and Firefox, which rely on the Chromium engine.

The 72 percent increase in Speedometer scores means that Google has accelerated Chrome considerably over the past months. In this context, it has visibly improved Chrome’s performance for users.
