Google is expanding the use of artificial intelligence. They announced a new security package specially designed for security with AI support. Particularly aimed at businesses and commercial customers, the Cloud Security AI Workbench is based on the Sec-PaLM language.

Google to target security vulnerabilities with Sec-PaLM

Google announced the AI language model PaLM a few years ago. At a new conference organized by the company, a new cybersecurity package supported by this language was introduced. The Cloud Security AI Workbench will primarily target major security vulnerabilities.

In a statement related to the subject, Google said that they developed the security tools package with Sec-PaLM. This language model was trained with popular security intelligence, such as security vulnerabilities, malware, threat indicators, and threat actors.

Detection of malware will be processed with VirusTotal

However, the security package does not only receive support from artificial intelligence. According to Google’s statement, VirusTotal Code Insight, which analyzes malicious scripts, was included in the Cloud Security AI Workbench. The detection of malware will be processed with VirusTotal.

We do not yet know how successful AI tools will be in the field of cybersecurity. Considering that threat actors take advantage of new vulnerabilities every day, it is worth noting that it may not be possible for artificial intelligence to provide complete protection.
