Google is rolling out a new feature for its AI assistant Gemini, called “scheduled actions.” This feature allows Gemini to automatically perform tasks that users want to happen at specific times. The update is available not only to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers but also to many Google Workspace plans.
Google Gemini will offer a brand-new feature
Users can create both recurring and one-time tasks by writing natural language commands to Gemini. These can range from sending a calendar summary and unread emails in the morning to generating blog post ideas every week, or summarizing a specific event as a one-off task.

The system executes these tasks automatically at the date and time specified by the user, using natural language understanding to process the commands. Google says this update is designed to make Gemini more functional and interactive for users.
The new feature highlights Google’s continued efforts to turn its AI-based services into practical products. At Google I/O 2025 held in May, the company announced that the Gemini platform will gain more advanced reasoning capabilities over time and that more features will be added in the future.
The fact that rival technologies are also beginning to offer scheduled features suggests that this space is set to become increasingly competitive. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
