Google’s Pixel phones have been one of the most leaked phones ever. We’ve already seen images of the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro leaked through trusted channels and now Google has taken control and leaked a picture of the Pro model itself (!) on its official website.
Here is the porcelain-colored Google Pixel 8 Pro
The device appeared in porcelain on Google’s “Google Subscriptions and Services” promotional page. The image was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user android_setting.
At first glance, it’s hard to distinguish the Pixel 8 Pro in the leaked image from the 7 Pro. The two Tensor phones look almost exactly alike, except for a few minor differences. It’s only on closer inspection that one can notice that the rear camera module of the phone in the leaked image has a new design.
Unlike the Pixel 7 Pro, which has a pill + circle design, the Pixel 8 Pro has three primary cameras housed in a single pill-shaped housing. The Pixel 8 Pro’s display is also expected to be flat, which is a first for the Pro class Pixels. However, in the image Google posted on its website, we can’t see anything other than the back of the phone.
The leak tells us nothing about what’s inside the phone. Still, we’ve heard about specs, display and RAM, camera hardware and some potential new software features like Video Unblur.
