The Google Play Store application, which comes embedded in Android devices and includes many apps and games, is not being left behind. Just recently, after receiving a theme change from green to blue, the app is now getting another very useful feature for users utilizing various platforms. Here’s the new feature expected to come to the Play Store!
Google Play Store’s new feature for different platforms
A new feature is being tested on the Google Play Store that will allow you to see how an app you are considering to download appears on other devices such as tablets, smartwatches, TVs, and more, all from one place. The Play Store listing will change depending on the device you select. For example, if an app works smoothly on smartphones but doesn’t function on tablets, you will easily find out about this difference.
In addition, reviews and the number of listed stars will be limited to show the results of the app’s reviews specifically for the selected device type. For instance, as mentioned earlier, the app you are looking at might have received high reviews from smartphone users, but it could be a disappointment on a smartwatch or tablet.
Accompanying screenshots in the Play Store listing will adapt to fit the device you choose to install the app on. Furthermore, tapping the downward arrow to the right of the “Install” button in the Play Store app will allow you to install the app on multiple devices simultaneously. With this move, Google aims to expand its reach beyond just smartphones and improve compatibility with various platforms.
These useful features have not been widely rolled out to Android users yet. However, it is expected that the mentioned features will be added to the Google Play Store relatively soon. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that there is always a possibility that these features may not be officially released until they are used by everyone.
