Google Keep stands out as a popular note-taking service accessible from various devices. Despite this feature, users have long been requesting improvements to text editing features. Finally, Google listened to its users and enhanced the text editing options in the application.
In Google Keep you can now create a header layout just like in Word
In the Google Keep Android app, hidden code sections related to text editing were discovered. A Twitter user (X) managed to activate and use these hidden features, sharing them on their account.
In the shared video, a user named AssembleDebug demonstrates seven different text editing buttons integrated into Google Keep. The first three buttons are used to choose between three text sizes: H1, H2, and standard body text (Aa).
The next set of three buttons facilitate the application of various text styles: Bold, Italic, and Underline. The final option indicated by “T” is used to undo all applied formatting changes to the selected text.
Interestingly, the variety of text editing options even works seamlessly with checkboxes. Although Google has successfully integrated these basic editing tools into Google Keep, they have inexplicably postponed their activation
This delay is likely due to ongoing testing by Google to identify and resolve potential issues. The video shows that the text editing features are functioning optimally and are in a state that could potentially be released to the public.
It is possible that the company may be planning to seamlessly integrate these features into different device categories, including smartwatches and web platforms.
