Google introduced new AI capabilities at the I/O 2025 developer event in San Francisco. One of the most striking announcements of the event was a new AI feature that allows users to try on clothes with just a single photo.
Google lets you try on clothes with AI
Integrated into Google’s existing AI systems, the innovation allows digital clothing trials to be conducted using user images. All users need to do is upload a single photo of themselves.

Google’s image processing algorithms analyze this photo and turn the person into a virtual model. The user can then view different clothes on this model. The AI simulates in detail how the fabric will sit, fold, and look according to the light, taking into account body form and position.
Google stated that this feature was previously available in AI systems in a limited way; however, it has been made much more accessible and easy to use through the new version’s AI mode. The developed system offers high accuracy, especially in understanding the details in fabric structures and adapting clothes according to personal poses.
The feature, which is currently only available in the US via the Search Labs platform, will soon be added directly to Google AI mode. This innovation is planned to be available to users outside the US over time.
