According to some sources, Google is preparing a new update for Google Messages. With the new update, the messages app will let users see the transcription of the voice messages to help them communicate easier. The update will also improve the emoji reactions and gallery view. Here are the details about the Google Messages update.
Voice message transcription with Google Messages
Upcoming features for Google Messages will let users read transcripts of voice memos, react to messages with any emoji, and more. You can record a voice memo and send it to other people. With the coming update, the voice messages will be available to read with transcription “Transcribe” button at the top of the voice memo.
Google also keeps the privacy on this feature, “Transcripts can help when voice message audio isn’t clear, or listening isn’t an option. Voice messages are transcribed only on your device, and the transcript contents aren’t sent to Google. Manage anytime in settings.”
React with any emoji
Indeed, the company launched the ability to react to messages on the messages app. However, there is currently limited (seven) reaction emojis. With the coming update, you will have access to more emojis to react to the messages. With the “add emoji” button, the app will let you choose any emoji you want to react to.
According to the claims, the Messages app will also get a redesign for its photo gallery view. With the upcoming update, users can scroll vertically through the photos. The old “Gallery” button’s place has been changed with an option for “Folders.” However, it works in the same function. What do you think about the coming rumored Google Messages update?
