Google Photos is working on new updates that will allow you to see your loved ones more often in your memories thanks to its facial recognition feature. These updates will go beyond the function of blocking faces that users do not want to see in their memories, and will allow certain faces to appear more often.
Google Photos Memories feature is being updated
An analysis of a new APK version (6.93) of the Google Photos application revealed the “Show more” option in the Memories feature. This new option allows users to see certain faces more often in Memories. This feature, which will be especially useful for those who want to see more photos of their family members, partners or other loved ones, allows users to make their photo streams more personal.
This feature will be accessible via the Collections > People & pets tab. Users will be able to access the “Show more” option from the three-dot menu that opens after tapping on a specific face. You can also activate this feature by following the path Photos settings > Preferences > Memories > Hide people and pets.
Google introduced the “Show less” option in Memories last May. With this new “Show more” option, users will now have better control over which faces they want to see more or less often in their Memories feed. There is also another way Google is working to make it easier to hide certain faces. Users will be able to open a photo, tap the three-dot menu or swipe up to access more information, and then hide faces by tapping the three-dot icon next to specific faces.
These new updates will significantly improve the user experience of Google Photos. While the Memories feature has allowed users to relive their favorite memories in the past, it will become even more personal with these new updates. Users will be able to see their loved ones more often and create more meaningful memories.
Although it is not yet clear when these features will be made available to the general public, it is a fact that users are eagerly waiting for these updates. Google Photos makes the application even more user-friendly by making improvements according to the requests and needs of its users.
